Biography

Clarence is a graduate of Hillcrest Christian College and has always had a heart for ministry. When he married Eleanor, they became partners in ministry. They joined Hillcrest Church in its early beginnings and Clarence became involved as a Sunday School teacher, Sunday School Superintendent and leader in Christian Service Brigades as well as Junior Camp Director for 25 years at Cypress Camp. Eleanor worked at his side doing meal preparation for the boys and girls. From 1982-1994, Clarence and Eleanor were in charge of the youth program at the Church. In 1995 Clarence became the pastor to the Seniors for 5 years, then got more involved in reaching and assimilating new people into the life of the church. His desire is to get people involved by promoting the newcomer's and discipleship classes and encouraging people to reach out to the unchurched. Clarence and Eleanor have 5 grown children and 10 grandchildren. All of their family attends Hillcrest Church except for one daughter and son-in-law who live in Calgary. Clarence loves to play slowpitch softball and he & Eleanor also love camping and golfing Par 3.
