Welcome to Discovery Land where we are planting seeds of faith!Here at Hillcrest Church we are committed in raising 5 C Disciples starting in Discovery Land Christ-A disciple is committed to cultivating a growing personal relationship with Christ. We are teaching the kids from a very early age how to have a personal relationship with Christ. A few ways we do this is by showing them who Christ is by example, through Bible stories, Biblical truths, and memorization of scripture. Community-A disciple is committed to developing vital relationships with other disciples for mutual growth and encouragement. Once the children enter the age 4 room we incorporate life groups to the structure of the class which develops the idea of community. Character-A disciple is committed to becoming more like Christ We are helping to shape their character through lessons, games, and stories that portray Christ’s character. Calling -A disciple is committed to investing their Time, Talents and Treasures in the building of God's Kingdom. We take tithe in the older classes. We encourage the children to serve in their world. Commission-A disciple is committed to sharing Christ's love with the lost. Sharing Christ’s love with the lost from an age 5’s perspective can be simply being kind to a new friend at school, or praying for their friends.
